Today recognizes the great invention of the radio. There were several inventors who had a part in the radio in the late 1800s. To make the radio a reality, different inventions and discoveries were required in transmission, reception and technology. In the late 19th century, it became clear that wireless communication was possible. The first broadcast stations began airing news and world events in the 1920s. Before the inventions of the television, radios were the core entertainment for families and gave them updates of the world. Radio shows like Amos 'n' Andy, Gang Busters, The Goldbergs and GI Jive were heard in living rooms everywhere.
